by twenty Indian ranks the garrisons of the frontier
posts, the armouries of which are believed to be coveted
by certain robber gangs who have committed extensive
outrages in the adjacent Chinese territory.

The estimated cost of these increases for
the remainder of the year is $5,831 and can be met out
of savings on the Sub-head "Personal Emoluments".

The Finance Committee has been consulted
and agrees to the proposals.

Provision will, subject to your approval,
be made for this increase in establishment in the
Estimates for 1936.
